I started collecting hash oki (chopstick rests) when we lived in Japan and tried to find a new one for my collection in every new place we visited. Even now, I sometimes discover a new find–like the pretty cherry blossom rest I picked up at Epcot last month! This idea of displaying all of them in a Japanese Hibachi repurposed as a coffee table is genius and now, even after over twenty years of collecting, I still get that feeling of “Ooh I love that!” every time I take a pause to appreciate my collection.
